Cake toppers

I mentioned before how we were looking at a lovely porcelain statue of Aragorn and Arwen from Lord of the Rings as our cake topper (or "cake next-to-er", as it'd probably be too big or heavy at nine inches to balance on top of a cake). There is a picture of it here, but at $280 including postage for something that we can't even put on top of the cake, we can't decide if it's worth it or not. It'd be a nice collectable to keep afterwards, however.

But there are two other cake toppers that we like which are made by the same manufacturer as the computer one I posted in a previous blog. If it's not overkill (which it probably is, but anyway) I'd like to put this one on top of the cake to reflect the fact we'd be about to jet off on our first proper holiday together, and then arrange this one below the cake to add the humour/personality flavour. They're still $100 each though, not including postage, so it wouldn't be much difference from getting the LOTR one if we did get both.

Or we could just not have one at all! Lol. It's these little decisions which are potentially expensive and you can't work out how much you or your guests would appreciate them that are the real killers.

  1. I forgot to mention, the two toppers can have customised hair colour, so that's kind of cool too.
